5.) San Antonio was named for the Portuguese Saint Anthony of Padua, whose feast day it was (June 13) when a Spanish expedition stopped in the area in 1691.

I love the River Walk and San Antonio generally—my brother used to be there (was in the Air Force) and I spent Christmas there years ago. Would love to visit The Alamo again…

I was down there 6 years ago, when I was preggo with my first baby. And my hubby and I LOVED it.
